Ellie is one of our pups who has earned her Junior Hunter certification with AKC and has now performed the major accomplishment of earning her HRCH title with UKC and is now enjoying life hunting and competing with her owner and trainer, Larry. Larry has done an excellent job with Ellie and we congratulate them both on a job well done.

Here is a picture of Ellie after our successful pheasant and chukar hunt a couple of weeks ago in western Colorado. She had a field day to say the least! She performed like the champion she is. The pro guide of High Country Sporting Dogs said she has amazing drive and an incredible nose to find the birds. She still continues to amaze me. She turns 5 Sunday.

Here at Bluebonnet Pups we raise AKC registered lab puppies to be your best friend, hunting dog, companion or they even make a pretty good watch dog since they always let you know when someone comes. These puppies are raised right here at our home with lots of love and care. .
Our dogs enjoy country life with lots of room to exercise and ponds to swim in. Our kennel is located 6 miles south of Farmersville on 12 beautiful acres.
Our puppies will come to you with dewclaws removed and will be up to date on shots and worming.

"I just wanted to tell you thank you again. Maverick is perfect! He was 6 months old March 21st. He is still perfectly healthy and the vet says his coat and body structure alone show that he was very well bred. He had a check up and got micro chipped about a month ago and he weighed about 56 lbs. The vet says he will probably weigh about 112 lbs full grown. I told you I wanted a big dog when I picked him :) and I sure got one. People tell me all the time how incredibly smart he is. He does more tricks than I could ever count and he learns new things all of the time. He loves everyone and gets along with all of the dogs at the dog park.   I just can't say enough good things about him and I know everything started with the care he got his first 8 weeks and the wonderful dogs that you breed."

"Hi Linda and Roger,
I just wanted to let you know how our little Ellie is doing. I have owned and trained some six labs over some 30 years and she may be my smartest. I have her walking at heel off leash, she consistently comes when called, and understands sit. She is retrieving well although I do it a couple of times and quit since she gets bored. And she knows NO as we are working at stopping her from biting hands. She is doing great understanding potty training with very few accidents. We know to take her out within five minutes of her drinking or eating. She is even running to the door now. Ellie loves our 15 year old yellow lab and is playing with our adopted cat, who now runs up to Ellie. She is basically sleeping through the night in her kennel cage and if she does have to get up, it is only once when I hear her mild wimper. And of course the vet said she is perfect."

"I just wanted to tell you how happy we are with Maverick. He is, by far, the smartest pup I have ever seen. He has been home for 4 days now and he has not had 1 accident in the house. He was not too happy with his crate the first night but, the he slept all night the second night and has every night since then. I have never seen a 7 week old puppy learn so quickly. He will already sit and lay down and he has almost mastered walking on a leash. The vet also said he is perfect and was very well cared for. Thank you so much for all of the effort you put into your dogs and puppies. We could not be happier. If you ever need a reference to reassure a future puppy owner, please don't hesitate to give them my number."
